Tangos of the Bicentennial. Tribute to the Neighborhood Dancers
The neighborhood of Villa Urquiza has always been an inexhaustible source of legendary dancers. The style and "school" of dance so characteristic of the neighborhood will be celebrated on this occasion in a well-deserved tribute to the most legendary figures. In the context of a concert with the Sans Souci Orchestra, we will have the honor of applauding for the beloved dancers Julio and Elsa Dupláa (see photo), Carlos and Rosa Pérez and Oscar Héctor. Mucho Maestros!

Tangos of the Bicentennial. Multimilonga.
Three simultaneous milongas, occupying the foyer, the stage and the salon on the first floor. One dancefloor dedicated to “golden age” tango, another to contemporary artists and the third to electronic tango, all with dance exhibitions. Each dancefloor is curated by a well-known milonga. This Wednesday the host milongas are El Motivo, Porteño y Bailarín, and Sin Rumbo.

Tangos of the Bicentennial. Día D: Homage to Gardel
Did you get to hear Gardel in a theater? For the first time, we will project in the main theater all the existing images of Carlos Gardel singing, from the short films of the ´30s to his feature film roles. Two hours of Gardel in an unprecedented experience, with material provided by the Tango Digital Archive.  Before the projection, we will give a special commemoration in memory of the greatest Gardel collector, the fondly remembered Hamlet Peluso.

Tangos of the Bicentennial. Le Grand Tango: Tradition-Transformation-Transfiguration.
An orquesta típica (tango orchestra) as a tool so that thre composers-Andrés Linetzky, Carlos Corrales and Diego Schissi-can present their particular visions of the genre. Three aesthetic proposals that share the same concert. This project is part of the post-graduate activities of the Emilio Balcarce Tango Orchestra School. With the participation of Guillermo Rubino on violin.

Noelia Moncada sings a repertory from her first CD “A tiempo” and offers a preview of tangos from her upcoming CD with arrangements by Argentine pianist living in New York, Octavio Brunetti.  For this presentation, Noelia will perform with special musicial guests.

Tangos of the Bicentennial. Mentorship Program.
The Martínez-Jaurena-Ciavattini Trio with Walter Ríos, followed by the Emilio Balcarce Tango Orchestra School.
This program brings together graduates of the Orchestra School with tango maestros who guide them during various rehearsals. The mentored artists then share the results of that experience with the public in a mini-concert before the performance of the Emilio Balcarce Tango Orchestras School.
